Business file transfer
Photon Transfer moves files. Photon Vault keeps them. Send work live, then store and sync your business's complete file collection in isolated Vaults without putting every project behind one broad privacy boundary.
Outbound delivery
Use Live Relay when a client, partner, or teammate needs the file now. Send multiple files together through one link. Independent file streams spread across Relay servers to use more of your available bandwidth. Your plan or File Pass determines how many streams can run together.
Client intake
Give external senders a Vault Intake upload surface without exposing Vault contents or inviting them into the Team.
Persistent storage
Store the work your business keeps in client-side encrypted Vaults. Each Vault is a separate privacy boundary for clients, projects, teams, finance, and more.
Desktop sync
Map different local folders and data sets to the Vaults that belong on each machine instead of replicating one broad drive tree everywhere.
Team access
Team membership is not Vault access. Share only the client or project Vaults collaborators need without merging unrelated data.
Collaboration model
Eligible Teams run under the owner’s plan instead of requiring a separate paid seat for every contractor or collaborator.
Region control
Where available, PhotonFile’s US and EU account-region controls let an account owner choose the home region for account and workspace data. Owned Teams follow the owner’s supported account region workflow.

Use Relay links for supported live downloads and Vault Intake links for upload-only intake. Use Team and Vault grants only when an ongoing collaborator needs intentional workspace access.

FTP replacement is one business use case, not the whole PhotonFile product. The dedicated guide compares FTP operations with Relay, Vault Intake, Vault, and desktop workflows.
