PhotonFile Teams

Collaborate without opening every Vault or paying for every seat.

Invite teammates and contractors into a shared operating context while granting file access intentionally, Vault by Vault. Eligible teams run under the owner’s plan.

Access model

Team membership is not Vault access.

A Team creates shared operating context for people, roles, Relay, and team-owned work. Vault access remains a separate grant so joining the Team does not automatically reveal every client, project, personal, or financial Vault. Vaults are the hard privacy boundaries; folders inside them simply organize files.

Invite the people involved

Teams can include internal users, contractors, reviewers, and other collaborators who need a shared PhotonFile context.

Grant only the work they need

Vault access is granted intentionally, Vault by Vault, with permissions appropriate to that work domain. Sharing a project Vault never opens unrelated personal or client Vaults.

Owner-powered workflows

One plan can support the Team’s file workflows.

The relevant Relay, Vault, Vault Intake, and Vault Sync workflows remain available according to the owner’s plan and the access intentionally granted inside the Team.

Send

Live Relay

Deliver files in the Team context.

Receive

Vault Intake

Collect uploads without browse access.

Store

Photon Vault

Keep shared Team work in its own isolated Vault, separate from personal, client, and other project data.

Sync

Vault Sync

Map the local folders a teammate needs to only the Vaults they are granted.

Commercial model

No per-seat team tax.

Eligible teams use the owner’s plan rather than requiring each invited person to buy a separate subscription. Team creation is reserved for eligible plans, while joining an existing Team does not require an upgrade.

Current plan eligibility and Team limits remain defined on the pricing page.
