Share files and folders safely

A share link is for a selected file or folder. It should not be used as a replacement for giving someone full workspace access.

Create a share link

  1. 1. Unlock the vault. Vault needs to prepare protected access for the selected item.
  2. 2. Select one file or folder. Share only what the recipient needs.
  3. 3. Choose the share action. Follow the prompt to create the link.
  4. 4. Copy the link. Send it through the channel you normally use with that recipient.
  5. 5. Revoke it later if needed. Use share management when a link should stop working.

Before you share

Use Relay instead when...

Both sides are ready now and the file does not need to remain available in Vault. Relay is built for live handoff.

Use Secure Inbox instead when...

Someone outside your team needs to send files to you. Secure Inbox gives them an upload path without browse access.
